Start with a budget or a concern
The cost estimator multiplies wall length and average exposed height by the published installation planning band for segmental block, poured concrete or natural stone. Its scope flags are discussion items, not hidden multipliers. You can see a range without providing contact information.
The wall assessment tool asks nine plain-language questions about what you already know or can observe from safe ground. It identifies a sensible planning next step, such as discussing drainage or arranging a condition assessment. It cannot diagnose the wall or certify that an area is safe.
Keep the useful limits
Do not climb on the wall, dig behind it or move material to complete a tool. Falling material and moving ground take priority over measurements. Keep people and vehicles away, and contact the appropriate authority if an immediate threat exists.
A calculator is not a design method. Wall height, soil, nearby loads, available reinforcement space, water and access need consideration together. A single number cannot capture those conditions. Read the Charlotte guide for the broader decisions and the cost guide for the price scope.
Turn the result into a useful conversation
Save your dimensions, describe what is changing and gather available plans or inspection notes. The printable worksheet has room for the details a calculator cannot collect. Use Get an Estimate when you are ready to discuss the property.
